Adalya Index. How many 50 gram packs of Adalya can people buy in different countries?

To present the economic process to the ordinary individual in an understandable way, people have come up with various non-standard indicators — for example, the Big Mac index.

We, Fedotov Group tobacco consulting agency, decided to calculate our index — the Adalya index. There is the ratio of the average country salary and the Adalya 50 gram pack average cost. Simply put, how many packs of Adalya on average can people buy in different countries for their salary.

Today Adalia is represented in about 80 countries, but only 19 distributors have provided us with price data. We processed all the data, so let’s see the following results.

The average cost of the Adalya 50 gram pack:

Of course, such indexes are not the most accurate indicators. They don’t take into account many factors that affect the exchange rate and purchasing power — from the real incomes of the population to the political situation. In addition, it’s important to remember about other features of determining the price of certain imported goods. For example, in countries with a weak currency, it’s especially undervalued in order not to lose sales.

Nevertheless, the Adalia index can be used to track economic changes using simple examples. Thanks to such an index, a person far from the economy will be able to roughly estimate the difference in the cost of goods or services.
